YourDesk by Torus Business Group is a different way to manage your technology. Applications and data are delivered from our network center

For a fixed monthly fee the user can login from anywhere in the world using any type of computer connected to the Internet. They will be connecting to our secure, dependable, and managed network center, not a local server at your office. Once logged in, users can access all of their programs, data, email, etc. They can run applications exactly as if they were loaded on their own desktop by simply clicking an icon. The functionality is so seamless it's almost impossible to tell the applications are being delivered by our secure off-site network center.

Programs do NOT run on the local machine

Users run their applications exactly as if they were loaded on their own desktop by simply clicking an icon. The operation is so seamless and transparent that it's almost impossible to tell that the program is NOT running on the local computer. Rather, it is running from our secure, managed network center and being delivered through the Internet using an encrypted connection.

The YourDesk model of delivering applications allows your users to login from anywhere and operate centrally from multiple offices. It also lets YourDesk manage and host all of your systems, leaving you free of maintenance cost and responsibility. This means no upgrading hardware, no managing servers, and access from anywhere. All you need is a computer connected to the Internet and the rest is provided by YourDesk.

The YourDesk experience

To use the YourDesk service, you log in to our controlled, secured Internet portal specially designated for your company. Type in your username and password, and then click the login button. Once authenticated, you're in. From there, everything else is YourDesk's responsibility. Click the icons to launch applications, open files the way you normally do, check your email, post messages, and more.

Your technology needs are completely taken care of

Your data is 100 percent secure; you'll never have to clean up damage caused by some rogue virus; you'll never have to restore from backup or protect your data from intruders. Our Network Center has various systems that (1) prevent unauthorized access to the network, (2) filter incoming email and block undesirable messages, and (3) ensure viruses are not brought into the system.
